Lights Text Effect
This Photoshop tutorial will show you how to create a flashing lights text effect. You can see the result of this tutorial in the image below.
Step 1 :
Start off by creating a new photoshop document and then create some large thick text. I've used a light blue Arial Black 150pt for this tutorial. Make a selection using the text and then, on a new layer, fill the selection with a darker blue (image b). Feather (select > feather) the selection by 7 pixels, contract (select > modify > contract) it by 5 pixels and then delete the selection area. You should now have something like in image c)

Step 2 : Zoom in to 300% magnification and then create a white circle on a new layer and in a new layer set. Apply bevel and emboss (layer > layer style > bevel and emboss) on the circle, setting size and soften to 0, and the shadow opacity to 100%. The circle should now have a hard black shadow in the bottom right. Next go to
Step 4 : Continue to cover the entire letter and then use the rectangular marquee to delete any excess of the letter.

Step 5 :
Once you've covered the 1st letter with the lights, finish off covering the rest of the text. Next, merge the layer set (layer > merge layer set) and then duplicate the resulting layer. Change the hue (image > adjustments > hue/saturation) of the duplicate layer to -180. This will change the blue to red and the red to blue. Now that you have 2 layers, save it and then open it up in Image Ready. For the first frame make 1 of the layers visible and for the second make the other visible.

Step 6 :
When you play the animation the lights should now alternate. Save the text as a .gif and you will have completed this Photoshop tutorial!

How to create a quick rock Background in Photoshop. It's surprising how you can create stunning photorealistic rock and stone texture so easily.
Step1:
Start with a background. 72dpi and RGB mode.
Step2:
Add some text, here I used galant (www.1001freefonts.com)
Step3:
Add a layer style by clicking the little "f" at the bottom of the layers pallette.
Add a dropshadow and a bevel, copy the settings shown here.
Note 2 things here that really make the glass "pop"
1. Change the contour, this gives the reflected look.
2. uncheck the global light and change the altitude to 70.

This step is where the magic happens!
In the styles palette, click on the Custom blending options.
Now pull the fill opacity all the way to 0 and the rabbit comes out of the hat!

Ramai kawan2 lama yang aku jumpa kat luar akan tanya pasal blog aku. Soalan paling fames sekali diorang suka tanya ialah " Wei, blog kau power gila la, bapak la hebat ko design. Ajar la aku wei Photoshop. Aku nak belajar jugak" ( Bahasa rempit ). haha. Soalan ni memang selalu la aku dapat. So, hari ni aku nak rungkaikan permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh first timer yang nak belajar photoshop ni.
Apa yang korang boleh buat. Kalau kita tengok sekarang ni, photoshop ni ada la satu software yang sangat2 bagus untuk korang masterkan. Sebab apa? Sebab korang boleh guna photoshop ni nak buat presentation, poster, layout kerja dan paling syok sekali boleh buat side income wooo. Korang tau tak, sampai la sekarang aku dah pernah collect beribu ringgit untuk design2 yang aku buat untuk client. Bukan nak menunjuk tapi nak tunjukkan bertapa beruntungnya kalau kita ada pengetahuan dalam penggunaan software Photoshop ni.
Antara method2 yang boleh korang gunakan untuk mula belajar ialah...
1. Berguru

Haa, ni adalah 1st step sebenarnya kalau kita nak belajar Photoshop. Sebab semua perkara bermula dengan guru. Sama lah kalau kita tak pandai Mathematics, mesti pergi cari cikgu math kan. So dalam hal ni, cari guru korang. Tak kesah la kawan ke, sepupu ke, asalkan dia pandai photoshop tu dah boleh jadi guru. Sebab 1st perkara yang korang kena tahu adalah tools2 dalam tu. Jadi mintaklah cikgu korang tu ajar pasal tools2 dalam tu. Bila dah faham tools2, baru lah boleh mula belajar buat design.
2. Tutorial
Tutorial adalah salah 1 cara paling effective nak belajar photoshop. Dulu aku pon bermula dengan tutorial. Tutorial ni mudah sebab kita follow je apa yang ditunjukkan. Kalau hari ni kita tengok pon, dah banyak tutorial2 berkaitan design (Photoshop, illustrator, Cinema 4D, Gimp) dah disediakan. Siap ada yang dalam bentuk video lagi. Fuhhh, punya la senang nak belajarkan. Kalau susah sangat nak faham tutorial dalam bahasa Inggeris tu, tengok je tutorial dalam blog ni. hihi ( Sempat lagi promot ).

3. Khursus
Khursus ni adalah salah 1 kaedah yang sangat mujarab tapi tak ramai orang sanggup pergi. Semuanya sebab kosnya agak tinggi. Betul tak. haha. Tapi sebenarnya ilmu yang kita dapat tu sangat2 la berbaloi. Jadi kepada korang yang baru2 nak belajar tu, jangan takut nak keluarkan duit untuk menuntut ilmu. Lagi bagus dari habiskan duit kat rokok atau benda2 tak berfaedah yang lain.
4. Majalah
Ni kalau korang dah tak tau sangat macam mana nak belajar photoshop. Cuba je la try godek2 benda dalam photoshop tu. Lama2 mesti korang akan tau kegunaan2 tools dalam tu. Last2 korang pon akan jadi happy macam orang kat atas ni. hahah. Tapi ni sebenarnya cara terakhir la untuk korang guna. Kurang digalakkan. Lagi elok gunakan cara 1 dan 2. Sebab dikhuatiri bila korang godek2 tu makin stress pulak jadinya.
3. Khursus
Khursus ni adalah salah 1 kaedah yang sangat mujarab tapi tak ramai orang sanggup pergi. Semuanya sebab kosnya agak tinggi. Betul tak. haha. Tapi sebenarnya ilmu yang kita dapat tu sangat2 la berbaloi. Jadi kepada korang yang baru2 nak belajar tu, jangan takut nak keluarkan duit untuk menuntut ilmu. Lagi bagus dari habiskan duit kat rokok atau benda2 tak berfaedah yang lain.
4. Majalah
Kalau kita tengok hari ni, dah ada bermacam2 jenis majalah yang menawarkan cara2 penggunaan dan tutorial2 adobe photoshop ni. Mana nak dapat buku2 ni ? Cari je dekat kedai buku MPH, Popular, Borders dan mana2 je la kedai yang ada jual majalah2 macam ni. Mudah kan. Kos pon tak setinggi Khursus. Apa yang paling best, korang boleh rujuk banyak kali. Tak ingat je baca je balik majalah tu.
5. Cuba Jaya | Try and Error
Jadi rasanya tu la sedikit tips yang aku nak kongsikan. Sebenarnya entry ni takde point sangat pon, tapi saje je teringin nak ulas. Kira ni macam celoteh aku la. hahah. Tapi korang layan je la ye. Kalau ada pendapat yang bernas kongsikan lah bersama ye. Kita belajar sama2.
